The Department of Systems Engineering (DSE) educates, develops, and inspires leaders of character who identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering and socio-technical problems for our Army and Nation. We use an interdisciplinary, integrative approach that applies systems thinking, engineering design, data science, mathematical modeling, simulation, decision science, and project management. DSE offers three majors: Systems Engineering (SE), Engineering Management (EM), and Systems and Decision Sciences (SDS). SE and EM are accredited by the American Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET). In all majors, cadets apply their education in a year-long applied capstone solving real-world Army challenges. All majors may graduate with honors by conducting independent research and meeting additional CQPA and course requirements.
