The mission of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is to educate and inspire Army Leaders of Character prepared to engineer resilient and sustainable solutions to the nation?s toughest challenges. Our two majors (Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering) emphasize creative problem solving and hands-on engineering design, skills that are useful to a career in the Army and beyond. Both programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. The department also offers two three-course core engineering sequences for non-majors: Infrastructure Engineering and Environmental Engineering.
