SCOPE
This course examines the structure and design of contemporary organizations from both a theoretical and an applied perspective. The classical works in organizational theory provide the foundation for the analysis of organizations. The study of contemporary organizations begins with the concept of organizations as systems, the relationship of organizations to the environment, and the identification of organizational goals. In addition, the impact of technology, size, power, decision-making, and type will be considered. This course helps cadets gain new insights into the leadership process within organizations in general, with an emphasis on the military.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
An individual research project will examine an aspect of organizational systems within a modern organization. An oral presentation of the research project is also required.
