This course develops and further refines a cadet's ability to communicate as a leader in today's armed forces. The cadet will put what is learned into practice through a series of speeches progressing in both length and difficulty. All presentations are videotaped for use in critiquing each cadet's performance. The course is focused around delivery skills, organizational skills, audience adaptation, critical thinking and effective listening. Guest lecturers, previous MS 350 cadet presentations, and web-based threaded discussions are also used as vehicles for learning. This class teaches that which is essential for every leader - the ability to communicate. |
