Coverage includes data analysis, probabilistic models, independence, simulation, random variables and their distributions, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and linear regression. The course also introduces engineering applications of probability and statistics techniques. Applied problems motivate concepts, and technology enhances understanding, problem solving, and communication.
