| In this course cadets gain basic competence in the knowledge and comprehension of representative Spanish literary works, from the middle ages to the present, and their relationship to the cultural context of Spanish society. Selected examples of various literary genres are read, discussed, and analyzed. At the same time, cadets continue to develop greater proficiency in Spanish. Video and film presentations supplement readings, where possible. Graded work may include giving oral presentations, writing short essays, or preparing a term paper.
