LN440F FRENCH IN CULTURAL CONTEXT 1990 4 Foreign Languages 3.0 (BS=0.0, ET=0.0, MA=0.0)
SCOPE
This three-week, structured immersion program, hosted by the French Military Academy in Bretagne, immerses cadets in the French language, culture, and Army. Regional trips of cultural and military interest are accented by classroom instruction in conversational French, French history, and current events relevant to the French military. Escorted during their stay by one of DFL's French instructors, cadets are evaluated on the extent to which they actively use French and engage themselves in day-to-day activities. They also maintain a journal of the experiences while in France. The program culminates with several days in Paris.
