In addition to speaking, listening and reading skills, Cadets learn how to write sentences, paragraphs and/or short compositions on familiar topics. Through readings and discussions, Cadets are introduced to the cultures and history of the German-speaking world. Cadets acquire a command of basic German vocabulary and gain a general understanding of how the language works, and they become able to apply that knowledge when learning other foreign languages.
