SCOPE
This undergraduate research course is structured similarly to both CH489 and CH490. In this course, a cadet may continue on an established research problem or begin a new line of investigation. The minimum requirement for moving onto CH491 is a defined problem and hypothesis, a background in related research, and an experimental design. Requirements include both written and oral progress reports. Written recommendation from Department Head must be presented to AARS and approved by the Dean of the Academic Board as this course constitutes a third semester of independent study.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
