SCOPE | |||||||||
This course will examine chemical interactions of pollutants in air, soil, and water systems. An understanding of organic and other pollutants retention in soil, water, and air systems will be developed, and various air, soil and water degradation pathways will be discussed. Specific topics include soil and aqueous aerobic/anaerobic degradation, denitrification processes, photo-oxidation, oxidation, and ozone reactions. Pollutant transport through soil, aquifers, and air will be covered. | |||||||||
